Gianpaolo Paolieri

I am writing you to inquire about a work experience in labour law. Throughout my university studies, I have been particularly interested in International Law and Human Rights, subjects that have engaged me on academic as well as personal levels. My final dissertation concerned these subjects, specifically Human Rights within the framework of the European Convention (The Right of Derogation and Human Rights as Permitted by the European Convention of Human Rights). I am particularly interested in the nuances and decisive importance of this legal area. Remaining aware of the role our modern society within this legal view is a perspective that I believe to be very important.

I am interested in a work experience because of the opportunity to work within an international context and to further develop the work I have begun. I believe that provides the ideal environment for the application of my studies. Working with this project would present a unique chance to work on the most pressing issues and to enrich my understanding.

I was born near Perugia, and I continued my university studies in Bologne. My father is a lawyer, and I was to decide to pursue my education far from my town, in order to facilitate the independence of my ideas and activities. During my studies and travels throughout Europe, I became especially aware of the importance of European politics for the realisation of a common European identity. I spent 10 months in Strasbourg during an Erasmus program, and this experience further reinforced my interest in these ideas. I believe that this internship would be the ideal way to enriching my professional experience.
