Theme in interrogative and imperative sentences

In the case of interrogative sentences the Themes may be made up either of an auxiliary+subject (Will he go to jail?) or of a wh-word (What are you doing now?).

The theme is that with which the clause is concerned. It is the displacement of the auxiliary verb that tells us we are concerned with an interrogative sentence. The subject is also part of the Theme as it tells us who the sentence is talking about.
Imperatives have no subject expressed: the unexpressed subject is the Theme.
